Through my personal observations, meditation, and memory, my art develops to represent my journey toward spiritual renewal. With the luminosity of my glass Sculptures, and the beautiful colors in my acrylic & mixed media Surreal paintings, I strive to convey feelings of joy, and hope to the observer of my artistic creations.
According to a brain mapping experiment at The University College in London, England, viewing art triggers feel-good neurotransmitter dopamine into the orbital frontal cortex of the brain. This study thus verifies the fact that looking at beautiful art increases pleasure in the reward centers of the brain. Creating my art allows my mind to focus on beauty and deal with the daily pain of severe degenerative disc disease from which I became legally disabled from since November of 2006.
My award-winning art has been exhibited in galleries throughout Maryland since 1998, and is private collections in Maryland, Texas, and Florida.
Creating a painting of a special memory for which no photo exists is a specialty of mine.
